The season 2 finale of Demon Slayer is set to release this weekend, with episode 11 of the Entertainment District Arc being a special extended send-off.
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba season 2 has been sensational and has, to put it simply, the very best-looking and expertly animated fight sequences that fans have ever seen.
In particular, the introduction and subsequent battle with Gyutaro catapulted the anime series to GOAT-like status – the likes of which we hadn’t seen since the Mugen Train movie premiered in October 2020.
However, all good things must come to an end, with the next episode in the Demon Slayer anime series set to be the final instalment from its incredible second season.
The good news is that the finale will have a special extended runtime, but will this impact the release date and time of Demon Slayer season 2 episode 11 for streaming?
Saying goodbye to Demon Slayer season 2 will be incredibly difficult, but thankfully it will be a slightly longer goodbye than fans may have anticipated.
Season 2 episode 11 of Demon Slayer will have an extended duration of 45-minutes, as confirmed by the series’ official Japanese Twitter page and website.
This will be the second time in season 2 that Ufotable have decided to extend the normal runtime for an episode. As fans may remember, the first episode from the Mugen Train re-adaptation was promoted as an hour-long adventure, introducing the Flame Hashira Kyojuro Rengoku.

DEMON SLAYER SEASON 2 EPISODE 11 RELEASE DATE AND TIME
The last instalment in Demon Slayer season 2, episode 11 in the Entertainment District Arc, will release worldwide on Sunday, February 13th.
Whilst the season 2 finale will have an extended 45-minute duration, fans shouldn’t expect this to affect the international release time for online streaming.
This is because there is a 1 hour and 45-minute gap between the domestic broadcast in Japan and the international streaming release, which allows platforms to accommodate such changes in runtime.
Demon Slayer will conclude its second television season for Crunchyroll and Funimation premium subscribers from the following international times:
Pacific Time – 8 AM PST
Central Time – 10 AM CST
Eastern Time – 11 AM EST
British Time – 4 PM GMT
European Time – 5 PM CET
India Time – 9:30 PM IST
Philippine Time – 12 AM PHT
Australia Time – 2:30 AM ACDT
The season 2 finale, episode 11, will then launch for free on both Crunchyroll and Funimation at the described times on Sunday, February 20th.
