Demon Slayer S2 Ep 11 Release confirmed with extended runtime for season finale

The season 2 finale of Demon Slayer is set to release this weekend, with episode 11 of the Entertainment District Arc being a special extended send-off.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba season 2 has been sensational and has, to put it simply, the very best-looking and expertly animated fight sequences that fans have ever seen.

In particular, the introduction and subsequent battle with Gyutaro catapulted the anime series to GOAT-like status – the likes of which we hadn’t seen since the Mugen Train movie premiered in October 2020.

However, all good things must come to an end, with the next episode in the Demon Slayer anime series set to be the final instalment from its incredible second season.

The good news is that the finale will have a special extended runtime, but will this impact the release date and time of Demon Slayer season 2 episode 11 for streaming?

Saying goodbye to Demon Slayer season 2 will be incredibly difficult, but thankfully it will be a slightly longer goodbye than fans may have anticipated.

Season 2 episode 11 of Demon Slayer will have an extended duration of 45-minutes, as confirmed by the series’ official Japanese Twitter page and website.

This will be the second time in season 2 that Ufotable have decided to extend the normal runtime for an episode. As fans may remember, the first episode from the Mugen Train re-adaptation was promoted as an hour-long adventure, introducing the Flame Hashira Kyojuro Rengoku.

DEMON SLAYER SEASON 2 EPISODE 11 RELEASE DATE AND TIME

The last instalment in Demon Slayer season 2, episode 11 in the Entertainment District Arc, will release worldwide on Sunday, February 13th.

Whilst the season 2 finale will have an extended 45-minute duration, fans shouldn’t expect this to affect the international release time for online streaming.

This is because there is a 1 hour and 45-minute gap between the domestic broadcast in Japan and the international streaming release, which allows platforms to accommodate such changes in runtime.

Demon Slayer will conclude its second television season for Crunchyroll and Funimation premium subscribers from the following international times:

Pacific Time – 8 AM PST

Central Time – 10 AM CST

Eastern Time – 11 AM EST

British Time – 4 PM GMT

European Time – 5 PM CET

India Time – 9:30 PM IST

Philippine Time – 12 AM PHT

Australia Time – 2:30 AM ACDT

The season 2 finale, episode 11, will then launch for free on both Crunchyroll and Funimation at the described times on Sunday, February 20th.

PREVIEW SHARED FOR DEMON SLAYER SEASON 2 FINALE

Demon Slayer season 2 episode 11 will be titled “No Matter How Many Lives”, with the official Japanese website for the anime sharing the official television caption:

The preview trailer for the season 2 finale has also been shared by fans online, see below.

The Resident Evil Easter Egg You Might Have Missed In Dying Light 2: Stay Human

The massive open-world zombie game "Dying Light 2" is out now, with critics praising the game for its fun gameplay, even if the story has been found to be a bit lacking.

The massive city in which "Dying Light 2" takes place is full of small side stories, so many that Techland has previously claimed it would take 500 hours to see everything in the game.

A very blatant reference to another zombie franchise is in one of those side stories, giving a nod to "Resident Evil." The reference to Capcom's massive zombie franchise is contained in a main mission in "Dying Light 2," and it's so on the nose that pretty much anyone who has played a "Resident Evil" game will pick up on the reference.

The reference to "Resident Evil” comes during the mission "Broadcast," during which Aiden Caldwell (voiced by Jonah Scott) is tasked with restoring power to a Peacekeeper's building.

After being tasked with turning the power back on, Aiden finds an injured peacekeeper named Leon. By itself, this could just be a coincidence, but what follows makes it a clear nod to "Resident Evil." Leon asks Aiden to find the rest of his squad from him. Aiden goes on to try and find the rest of the squad, discovering they have already been infected.

After killing them, Aiden can collect their dog tags – one of which very clearly reads "Chris Redfield," making the reference to "Resident Evil" clear by namedropping one of the series' main heroes. It also retroactively makes the reference to Leon Kennedy more apparent. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be any special weapons that reference "Resident Evil," but it's nice to see "Dying Light 2" pay homage to the king of zombie game franchises.

That isn't even the only reference in "Dying Light 2" to another zombie franchise. At the start of the game there is a vinyl record of "Who Do You Voodoo?" which is a song from "Dead Island." Of course, the original "Dead Island" was developed by Techland, the group that also made "Dying Light 2."

Here's why the Acclaimed Jackass forever landed its age rating.

There are some moments in cinema that you not only watch but feel.

Well, in the case of the Jackass movies, you pretty much feel every moment for the entire hour and a half or so.

Back in 2002, the cast of the daredevil TV show collaborated on Jackass: The Movie and achieved stardom like never before. Since then, we have seen two more instalments and a spin-off.

Now, against all odds – and ageing – the boys are back in town for the fourth rodeo of wild stunts and gross-out ordeals.

It’s finally here, but before you flock to check it out, you may need to know the Jackass Forever age rating…
JACKASS FOREVER AGE RATING IS WELL EARNED

Jackass Forever is rated 18 in the UK and has received an R in the US.

As noted by the British Board of Film Classification, the fourth entry in the franchise was given an 18 rating due to crude, dangerous stunts and nudity.

If you want to learn specific details you can head over to the BBFC website; we won’t outline specific reasons here as they delve into spoiler territory.

For those familiar with the series, on the other hand, this film also contains full-frontal male nudity, which the BBFC explains is presented in a “comic, non-sexual context.”

In the US, the Motion Picture Association (MPA) gave the movie an R for strong crude material, dangerous stunts, graphic nudity and language throughout.

Needless to say, the extremity of the stunts featured in the film warrants the high age rating.

The last Jackass movie besides spin-offs – Jackass 3D – was released over a decade ago and some fans were surprised to see the cast finally reunite for more mayhem after all of this time.

However, during a conversation with The Guardian, director Jeff Tremaine revealed that while there’s always a right time for another Jackass movie, perhaps now, in particular, makes more sense:

“Listen, it’s never not funny to see someone else get hit in the nuts. There’s a certain cultural moment with Jackass, and it went away for a few years, but TikTok’s got a big thing for physical comedy, YouTube’s all about elaborate pranks. It never goes away.”

The hype surrounding the film on social media is undeniable, with the majority of reviews signalling that this is the triumphant return that fans have been patiently waiting for.
